Joshua Plascencia Facilities & Transportation Manager
Joshua's journey is one of transformation and resilience. Growing up in a single-parent household in a crime-stricken neighborhood, he found himself involved in street gangs at an early age. By fifteen, Joshua became a father but placed gang loyalty above family, leading to nearly 19 years of incarceration. It was during his time in prison that he realized his potential was misdirected. In 2017, determined to change, Joshua confronted his fears and focused on personal growth, education, and mentoring others in a substance use disorder program. After his parole in January 2024, he continued his studies, earning certification as a Credible Messenger and working toward becoming a certified Case Manager and AOD Counselor through CCAPP Academy. Joshua discovered his passion for service through a four-week Re-Entry Workshop with Mass Liberation. In October 2024, he joined the organization as the Facilities and Transportation Manager, bringing new energy and dedication to the role, and becoming an inspiration for future program participants.
