Transitional Housing: Mass Liberation has two beautiful transitional homes in South LA County that provide a safe and restful environment for Returning Citizens who served long prison terms. We have the Liberty House and the LGBTQIA+ Harbor House. Citizens at the house participate in the Mass Liberation community and actively work together to care for the homes.

Next-Steps Housing: After transitional housing programs, it can be challenging for Returning Citizens to find an apartment or home to rent because of background checks and staggering move-in costs. Mass Liberation provides opportunities for Returning Citizens to have their own lease to rent a room and build a rental history without those overwhelming costs and at a lower-than-market rate at four homes: Vermont Housing, Harbor Housing, Torrance Housing, and The Croft (next to the center). Renters build up their rental references and their credit while saving enough to move on to permanent housing in the future.
